A clause which begins with a subordinating conjunction is called a subordinate clause. Three kinds of subordinate clauses are Adverbial, Relative, and Reported. In this lesson, Mr. P./Marc looks at “adverbial clauses.” There are eight types of adverbial clauses: conditional, purpose, reason, result, place, manner, time (click here to watch that lesson) and concessive clauses - which he talks about in this lesson. He provides easy examples for the five types of "concessive clauses" he discusses.

This lesson is designed for intermediate students who wish to improve their English grammar and those above levels who wish to clarify doubts about this topic.
