Restoring an 1800s Rifle Lock Mechanism | Will It Work Again?

In this video, I restore a heavily rusted rifle lock mechanism from the 1800s.
I found this mechanism with a metal detector. After spending many years underground, it was completely seized by rust. At first, even the hammer would not move.
I carefully removed layers of corrosion, disassembled the lock, cleaned every component, and rebuilt the mechanism piece by piece.
The goal was simple: to find out whether this 200-year-old mechanism could work again.
