Mongol Destruction of Beijing Genghis Khan s Masterpiece

In 1215, the Mongols descend on Zhongdu (Beijing) and obliterate the city, once the capital of the rival Jin Dynasty. I chose to tell this story from the upbringing of Genghis Khan, as the years of meddling and ravages of the Jin against the Mongols frame this early war of conquest for the Mongols.
