We continue our series on the Roman Seleucid War. Taking place in the late 2nd century BC, this conflict saw the great powers of the east and west come to blows over the battlegrounds of Greece. In episode 01 we covered the lead up to the war which drew in the Romans and the Seleucids. Now we follow the unfolding carnage of their campaigns. This culminates in 191 BC where Antiochus the Greats fortifies the Hot Gates to force the Romans to attack him. Now the fate of the war will be decided at the famouse battle of Thermopylae.
