the Netherlands beyond Amsterdam 🇳🇱

i didn't expect the netherlands to feel the way it did. we'd spent a few days in amsterdam (noisy, busy, beautiful in its own way), and then one morning we just took a bus out of the city and ended up somewhere that felt completely different. windmills, ducks everywhere, open front doors, kids playing outside. it felt almost too good to be real. this is a day i want to remember (zaanse schans → volendam → marken)
