Today I’m cooking a double‑cheese burger over open fire in the Swedish forest.
I start by heating a small pan over the flames, adding a splash of olive oil and letting the onions cook low and slow. They soften, darken, and turn glossy — sweet, sticky, and smoky as they pick up the heat from the fire. When they’re done, they rest to the side, ready for the build.
