Gladiator Clip 1 The Glory of Rome

This Bible discussion focuses on the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus established in this world. The Kingdom of Heaven is different from all other earthly kingdoms because it is eternal and invisible – that is, it is present in people's hearts and relationships. Two clips from the film "Gladiator" are included in this lesson: the first illustrates the idealism and shortcomings of the Roman Empire from the perspective of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and the second (optional) illustrates the human perception of eternal glory.
