Wild Elephants in Thailand. Where to Watch

Thailand has an estimated 3,000–4,500 wild Asian elephants inhabiting about 69 protected areas, with populations slightly increasing. The highest concentrations are in the Western Forest Complex and Kui Buri National Park. Major threats include habitat loss, agricultural encroachment, and human-elephant conflicts, requiring strict conservation efforts.
