Slow Living in My Small English Garden 🌿 Roses, Baking & Grandma’s Recipe
Step into a few peaceful spring days here in the English countryside 🌿
In this week’s slow living vlog, I spend quiet days gardening, baking a traditional British lemon drizzle loaf from scratch, and preparing one of my grandmother’s comforting Spanish recipes for dinner as the weather shifts between sunshine, rain, and chilly spring afternoons.
I’m also planting my latest rose acquisition — the beautiful Eustacia Vye rose inspired by Thomas Hardy’s heroine — while slowly continuing to shape the garden for the warmer months ahead 🌹
Wrapped in birdsong, gentle rain, and shy moments of sunshine, we also wander through Oakley, a picturesque corner of the Hampshire countryside whose quiet paths once inspired writers like Jane Austen 🌿
There are cosy moments of slow cooking, peaceful gardening, spring flowers, homemade comfort food, and reflections on family traditions, recipes passed down through generations, and finding beauty in ordinary everyday life.
