United States President Donald Trump’s visit to China this week will mark his seventh face-to-face meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The visit will also be the first trip by a US leader to China since 2017. US President Donald Trump is in Beijing for talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping at a crucial moment for the global economy. Trump wants China to open its markets to American companies, increase investment and job creation in the US, and buy more American agricultural products, such as beef and soya beans.
Xi is expected to seek concessions on Taiwan and tariffs, or at least no new duties, to keep trade flowing between the two countries.
