Suo Gân — 1 Hour Celtic Sleep Music | Welsh Lullaby | Hearthmoor Ambience
Welcome home to Hearthmoor. 🌿
Tonight's journey: Suo Gân — the ancient Welsh lullaby, gently
reimagined as a soft Celtic ambient lullaby to carry you into
peaceful sleep.
The last light fades from the meadows of Hearthmoor. A single
lantern glows by an open burrow door. Two small rabbit travelers
have come home at last, and the night settles softly around them.
The world grows hushed. The stars begin to gather. Somewhere in
the quiet, the old melody is being sung to the sleeping ones.
Let the familiar tune drift over you. Let the world grow small
and soft. Let yourself rest.
🎵 About the music:
Suo Gân is a traditional Welsh lullaby whose title means simply
"lullaby" or "cradle song" in Welsh. First written down in the
early 1800s, the melody is far older, sung for generations by
mothers in the Welsh countryside to quiet their children at the
end of the day. The song became known to a wider audience after
its haunting use in the 1987 film Empire of the Sun. In this
arrangement, the melody is slowed and softened into a Celtic
ambient style — gentle harp, soft strings, and peaceful atmosphere.
🌿 Perfect for:
- Sleep and deep rest
- Quieting children at bedtime
- Quiet reflection
- Calm evenings
- Reading by lamplight
- Cozy nights at home
