Question, In the old covenant the 10 commandments were in the ark of the covenant. The new covenant it is said that the law will be written on our hearts: Jeremiah 31:31 + 2 Corinthians 3:3. It does not say that it will be a different law, does it? Also Isaiah 56 - we know an eunuch could not be part of the congregation in the old but can in the new, and it clearly talks about the Sabbath. I do not see the logic of the 10 commandments being done away with, except that people do not want to keep the Sabbath.
You raised a great question. I would suggest the Scriptures should give us the answer. "First, note that God had a relationship with his people before the covenant in Sinai was ever given. Thus, Moses, who did not live until 2500 years after Adam and 400 years after Abraham did not receive the covenant until then.

That means God had law for his people which was not the "law of Moses" or the Torah as given to Moses.
