A few hours ago, the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee announced that it’s leaving its policy rate unchanged for the time being. As expected.

But there was a record number of dissents this time, as fears the Iran war will re-stoke inflation and compromise supply chains took center stage.

This was also Jerome Powell’s last ride as Fed Chair. Next time, the Fed will under the new leadership of Kevin Warsh — who promises to take a very different approach to running the FMOC.
