In Adam Versus In Christ, 1 Cor. 15
Available in Spanish & Portuguese
In Adam Versus In Christ, 1 Corinthians 15, a continuation of the study showing the status and nature and of those under the headship of Adam versus those in Christ. In this video we discuss the body of Adam and its connection with sin, strengthen by the "body of Moses", the former being absorbed into the other. Is this what Paul meant in Romans 6:6 when he spoke of the body of sin.
It is important to remain contextually consistent with the themes introduced by Paul in order to answer the question. If the point of entrance into Adam was through sin, (Rom. 5:12) then what is it's point of exit?
Since Romans 6 continues the theme of the Passover by focuses on the death of Christ, per Rom. 3:24-26, , then baptism into Christ's death must have a connection to the exodus motif, i.e. the eschatological exodus. How then can the death of Romans 6:3-4 be separated from the death of 1 Corinthians 15:3f? Is it not also related to the Passover, and thus the exodus thereby continuing the theme of the release from the bondage sin and the death caused by sin by as a direct result of being in Adam.
