This chapter confirms the message of Hos. chapters 1 and 2 that show the restoration of Israel and Judah was taking place in the first century. It was not about real estate as the believers were leaving the land due to persecution and were told to flee the city at the first opportunity after the Roman armies arrived. They knew it would be burned to the ground along with the temple. Yet the Lord was gathering them to Himself in the end of that old covenant age, as confirmed by Paul and Peter, 2 Cor. 6:1-2, 1 Pet. 2:9-11.
