Sunday Feb 6 2022 The Glory and Image Motif of Resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15

We continue the glory and image motif of resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15, as it reveals the nature of the work of Christ and that of the resurrection body. The primary emphasis of today's message is the glory motif.

In this study a pattern is shown in passages that speak of the rule and dominion of Christ in relation to the defeat of sin and death, in texts such as 1 Cor. 15:24-28, 54-57, Philippians 3:21, Eph. 1:19-2:9, Rom. 5:12, 14, 17 20-21; 6: 1-5.

We show that no authority exists in scripture to interpret the "change" of 1 Cor. 15:52, and that of the nature or substance of individual bodies.
