New Heaven and a New Earth - Part 2 - Revelation 21:1-4 |Temple Cosmology Revelation 21:1-4. In this study we look at the meaning of the first heaven and the first earth which passed away by seeking to understand the correlation the tabernacle. Why is the new heaven and earth referred to as the tabernacle of God. How far back in biblical history can this concept of creation, world and tabernacle be found?

Hebrews 9:11 suggests a correlation between the temple as the old creation in contrast to the new temple, i.e. the house not made with hands. But what was the function of that tabernacle? Was it not to mitigate the effects of death caused by sin. That raises the question. Did sin originate with Moses? If not, then we must look beyond Moses for another temple/tabernacle that is associated with creation.

Is it possible that lying on the very surface of the earliest chapters in Genesis, where we see death, we also see God's plan to mitigate death through the temple imagery? Check out the message in the video and let us know what you think.
