Surprise Afternoon Tea | Mary Berry
Mary Berry mentors three novice cooks - fireman Mark, youth worker Callum, and boxing instructor Thaer - as they prepare a surprise afternoon tea to thank Soraya, a local youth charity leader. With zero kitchen experience and plenty of past disasters, the trio faces a steep learning curve. Mary enlists Roman Kemp and Tom Read Wilson to help with party extras and moral support. The team visits Mary’s home for special lessons, learning to make tartlets, mini scones, and a towering Clementine cake. Meanwhile, Tom crafts jam with the Women’s Institute, and Roman hunts for the perfect tea. After practicing solo at home, the trio heads to Langley Hall near Cardiff to cook for 15 guests. With Mary’s final tips and Tom and Roman handling the finishing touches, can they pull off a heartfelt surprise and give Soraya a feast to remember
