Overlooking the stunning Lake Memphremagog, this modern residence is defined by a simple yet powerful idea: two wooden volumes stacked in perfect harmony with nature.
The lower volume anchors the home to the rocky terrain with expansive horizontal glazing, while the upper cedar-clad block appears to float above—offset to create shaded outdoor spaces and a rooftop terrace.
Inside, a dramatic double-height space connects both volumes, flooding the interior with natural light and enhancing the connection to the surrounding landscape.
🌿 Key Features:
• Two stacked rectangular volumes
• Floating upper block with cantilever
• Double-height living space
• Panoramic lake views
• Seamless indoor-outdoor connection
A minimalist composition that proves simple forms can create powerful architecture.
