It is Easter Sunday in Ambridge, but the celebrations take a dramatic and dangerous turn in today’s episode of The Archers.
The village gathers at the church for the morning service, but the peace is shattered when a part of the ceiling suddenly collapses. Thanks to the quick thinking of Alan and the churchwardens, the congregation is evacuated safely, though a few parishioners are more concerned about their forgotten umbrellas and gloves than the falling plaster!
Meanwhile, away from the dust of the church, a massive shift is occurring at Home Farm. Brian Aldridge finally opens up to Adam about the future. Admitting that Rory is simply not ready to manage a farm of this scale, Brian makes a staggering proposal: he intends to add a codicil to his will so that Adam will inherit the land and hold the majority voting share. This secret pact could change the face of Home Farm forever—but at what cost to the rest of the family?
On a lighter note, it’s Robert Snell’s birthday, and he receives a most unexpected gift from Khalil—a budgie! While Robert initially panics over the "instructions" regarding free-flying and providing "entertainment" for the bird, Linda is determined to make their new feathered friend feel right at home.
