Today, I’m super excited to announce that my favorite burger joint in Miami, Clutch Burger, has two new burgers inspired by my travels through India! Come with me as I try Clutch Burger’s new David’s Been Here Garam Masala Burger and Gun Powder Burger!
The spices used in the burgers come from Ulavacharu Tiffins, a restaurant in the Bay Area owned by my friend Latha. The spice blends are made by women in her home state Andhra Pradesh.

The garam masala is full of warming spices, while the gun powder is going on their vegan Impossible Burger, and is a little spicier!
He made the garam masala burger medium-rare and put it on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. He put the garam masala on both sides of the burger. It made the restaurant smell like an Indian kitchen!
He added arugula, tomato, two slices of pepper jack cheese, a fried egg, raw onions, more garam masala on the egg, and peppers. I loved the medium-rare chuck brisket sirloin patty and the coriander, cinnamon, and cloves. The egg was the best part!
Then, it was time to make the vegetarian gunpowder Impossible Burger! Steve gently sprinkled the spicy gunpowder on both sides and buttered and toasted the bun. They added arugula, taleggio fondue, caramelized onions, and more gunpowder on top.
We all liked this burger more! It was super unique. The caramelized onions with the taleggio was incredible!
