I Got A Guyanese Haircut in Georgetown, Guyana! 🇬🇾

With my last day in Guyana upon me, I wanted to get a taste of some Guyanese pampering, so I headed out to get a haircut and shave at a local barber shop!

I headed over to Awesome Image Barber Shop to get a haircut and shave from their barber Travis, thanks to a recommendation from my friend Simeon at the Fireside Grill. I wouldn’t wait!

After Travis arrived, he added water to a steamer and then began shaving my head to clean me up a bit. Then, he lined up my beard, got my sideburns, and shaved my neck. There was a lot of conversation among the locals!

While he shaved me, they had Braveheart on the TV! Then, he faded my sideburns a bit and then trimmed my beard. After that, Travis applied some shaving gel to my head and beard. He put a hot towel on my face and then used a straight razor to clean me up even more!

There’s nothing like the feeling of a great shave. It was so comforting and relaxing! Then, he put the hot towel on my head and massaged my head with a machine he put on his hand. It felt so good!

Next, he put an ice-cold towel on my head and face before shaving a bit more off the back to get the cleanest shave. What a great haircut experience in Georgetown, Guyana!
