Welcome to Nakuru, Kenya! After exploring the street food in Nakuru, I decided to head back out the following morning to have some breakfast, get a taste of everyday life at a local market, and visit beautiful Lake Nakuru.
Joining me, as always, are my guides from Kumbukumbu Tours and my friend and trusty cameraman, Tasos. Letās explore more of Nakuru, Kenya!

ROOT VEGETABLE BREAKFAST: We started our day at the same restaurant where we enjoyed the kuku (rooster) the previous day. This time, we got some boiled sweet potato, arrowroot, eggs, and Kenyan tea!
NAKURU WAKULIMA MARKET: Here, we found lots of vendors selling produce, including onions, carrots, peppers, limes, tomatoes, tomatoes, potatoes, sugarcane, passionfruit, managu, and more. We also tried mayai chemsha, salty fish, raw peas, raw managu, corn melon, passionfruit, tree tomatoes, watermelon and pineapple.
HYGIENIC BUTCHERY & RESTAURANT: At this restaurant, we tried mursik, a thick, fermented milk thatās drunk by the Kalenjin people. It contains charcoal and herbs!
LAKE NAKURU: Finally, we ended at a viewpoint overlooking Lake Nakuru!
