Mama with Damaged Ears is Ok - Little Roo & Legs Here Too! - Rocky Tropix Gardening, Australia
You may have seen my video with this same wallaby mama, hiding in the end of the old steps. Her ears were newly damaged and she seemed frightened but she seems to have healed well.
It makes sense also that she used to have slightly damaged ears before, as her son Little Roo has very damaged ears. I guess she was defending him? Now she has more damage on her ears. So I wonder if she was also defending her new baby, herself or Little Roo. Little Roo’s name came from Winnie the Pooh’s friend, Roo.
I said in this video that Little Roo is probably a female, as she’s still with her mama at this age. But now I know Little Roo is a male, I wonder if it’s because he was attacked at an early age, that he’s very attached to his mama.
Don’t know for sure but I guess it could be why.

OUR STORY...
My husband and I have about two acres of useable land for fruit trees and a back yard veggie patch in Far North Queensland, Australia.
The rest of our land has lots of rocks, a couple of dams teeming with frogs, toads and many, many other creatures elsewhere! Including a mob of very cute Pretty Faced Wallabies and quite a few smaller Australian marsupials.
I used to live in a temperate zone, a long way south, in Melbourne. I felt like I needed to learn to garden all over again, when we landed here almost three years ago!
So if you’d like some gardening tips on the tropics or you’d just like to see what we are up to, come along for the ride!
And I’ll see you here, next time!
