Akhenaten, The Secrets Of The Forgotten Pharaoh

September 2020, Luxor. Deep beneath the desert sands near the Valley of the Kings, a team of archaeologists just made history. They’ve uncovered a 3,400-year-old "Lost Golden City"—the largest ancient settlement ever found in Egypt and the biggest discovery since King Tut’s tomb.

This isn’t just a ruin; it’s a time capsule. Known as Aten, the city is incredibly well-preserved, featuring royal palaces and entire districts for government, housing, and industry—all still filled with the tools of daily life.

But here’s where it gets wild: they found a mummy that could rewrite history. According to Professor Salima Ikram, if this is truly an Old Kingdom mummy, we’re going to have to throw out the history books and start over. Founded by the legendary Amenhotep III, this "Egyptian Pompeii" was abandoned when the rebel pharaoh Akhenaten moved the capital. Most of the city is still buried, and who knows what secrets are still waiting under the sand?
