An elderly grandfather lives alone in a small house by the riverside. He spends his time catching Asala fish and hunting frogs in the stream. His lifestyle is truly remarkable.

This place is in a small village in the eastern region of Nepal, near a small river where the grandfather has been living by himself. Even though he is old, he is still very fit and strong because he follows a completely organic lifestyle and does all his work naturally.

Today, he is fishing for Asala near the river close to his home. During the rainy season, the river becomes large, but in winter it shrinks, making it easier for hunting and traveling. This river is home to Himalayan Asala fish, frogs, and other aquatic life. The grandfather uses a traditional bamboo fish trap to catch fish.
He cooks some of the fresh fish into curry and dries some over the fire to make dried fish (sukuti). He enjoys his meal with delicious fish curry and kodo ko dhido (millet porridge), which makes for a very tasty and satisfying meal. He cooks using firewood in a traditional stove, enjoying the process in a completely natural way.

Since there is a forest nearby, birds chirp sweetly all around. Although this place is remote in terms of facilities, it is incredibly beautiful in terms of natural scenery.
