A Sumerian Tablet Just Revealed What Happened Before the Great Flood
There is a document in the world's oldest literature that claims to have been written by someone who knew the flood was coming. Not after the fact. Before it. A father pressing words into clay for his son, who would go on to be the last man standing when everything was swept away. The text begins with a phrase that the scribe used three times in the opening lines, like a hand pressing down on something it needs you to feel before it begins: in those days, in those far remote days, in those nights, in those faraway nights, in those years, in those far remote years.
