MONGOLIAN NOMADS: Masterful Horsemanship at 15 - Falling, Rising, and Riding the UNTAMED

MONGOLIAN NOMADS: Masterful Horsemanship at 15 - Falling, Rising, and Riding the UNTAMED

Mar 22, 2026

Set in Mongolia on a clear autumn day.
The Gombojav family, who own 300 horses, are busy branding their herd. Their 15-year-old son has brought three schoolmates along to help on this Sunday.
The father, Gombojav, is an expert horseman. Riding as if he has sprouted wings, he cuts through the wind of the steppe—a true embodiment of man and horse as one. In autumn, the horses are at their peak strength. Watching him chase and catch such powerful horses is simply breathtaking. He is a figure the young boys deeply admire.

Not to be outdone, the boys—who bear the future of the nomads on their shoulders—try to catch and ride unbroken horses, only to be thrown off. Even as they fall again and again, they stand back up and continue chasing the horses.

The bond between humanity and nature, the galloping of beautiful horses, the master and his successors, the rituals of horse branding, and much more. Please watch this dynamic drama unfolding on the great steppe to the very end.

Thank you for watching.
