Killer whales (Orcas CA51A pod) at Monterey Bay in Oct 2024

Orcas (from the CA51A pod) were seen in the Monterey Bay. The pod had a new born baby, CA51A5, with them that displayed a slightly orange tone and wrinkled body (called fetal folds) indicating it was probably one or two weeks old. Interestingly, humpback whales were very upset with their presence and showed their displeasure by trumpeting and trying to chase the killer whales away from the bay. What a day to be on a boat in Monterey Bay. Incredible
