Visiting Ukraine During The War. What Is It Like?
If you’d like to donate to support Ukraine, I’ve included a few trusted resources below.
In September 2024, I spent a week traveling across Ukraine with my wife, Deanna. We began our journey in Lviv, then continued to Kyiv, and finally to the front lines in Kharkiv. Over the past 6 months, my team and I have worked tirelessly to create a one-hour documentary about the human impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Our goal is to document life on the ground, meet locals, and let their voices be heard.
A huge thank you to Markiyan for showing me around Ukraine. This trip wouldn’t have happened without his guidance and hospitality. Follow Markiyan on IG here: / markiianivan
If you’d like to donate to help Ukraine and those in need, here are a few trusted resources:
https://u24.gov.ua/about: Launched by Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, this has become the main place to collect charitable donations to support Ukraine. The funds are used for Defense, Humanitarian Demining, and/or Medical Aid.
https://savelife.in.ua/en: Launched in 2014, Come Back Alive has become the most prominent organization providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fund’s mission is limited to supplying technology, training, and equipment to help save Ukrainian lives.
https://saved.foundation: This foundation aims to restore access to education in Ukrainian communities affected by the war. They provide the tools and resources children need to learn and explore new ideas.
