One moment it was sunshine, the next I was riding solo into a full-blown blizzard at 4,700 meters in the Tibetan highlands. This is the raw, unfiltered story of Day 1 on my epic motorcycle journey from Lhasa to Kashgar. The mission: a massive 720km (450 mile) push from the historic city of Lhasa to the remote outpost of Nyima County. What started as a perfect day quickly turned into a brutal fight for survival against Mother Nature's fury.
