The Dao of Acupuncture — Fang Scalp Acupuncture

Fang Scalp Acupuncture is an award-winning acupuncture microsystem that integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine with neuroscience. Developed in the 1960s by Dr. Fang Yun Peng (方雲鵬) and his son Dr. Fang Ben Zheng (方本正), the Fang microsystem allows a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner to adjust the body's Qi flow directly through the central nervous system. It yields quick results and is proven to be effective on a broad spectrum of acute and chronic diseases.

Dr. Ching Ching Chi, PhD, L.Ac. (周靖親) studied extensively with Dr. Fang Ben Zheng beginning in 2007. She has since dedicated her clinical practice to the application of the Fang microsystem in accordance with traditional Chinese medicine principles, which she calls her Unified Principles (UP) Method. Now, in efforts to propagate this tool, she has begun to standardize and teach the Fang microsystem as she understands and applies it in her clinic every day.

In this 2024 documentary, Dr. Fang Ben Zheng and Dr. Ching Ching Chi take us back to the roots of Fang Scalp Acupuncture in Xi’an, where Dr. Fang Yun Peng treated patients at Laotian Traditional Chinese Hospital. They visit doctors who apply Fang Scalp Acupuncture in their practice who seek to integrate the East and West, the ancient and modern in their medicine. Dr. Fang and Dr. Chi envision and invite us to help realize the continued development and propagation of this valuable tool for healing.
