RICORDO is a melodic and interpretative waltz written by Carlo Venturi and published posthumously in 1987. It is masterfully performed here by Ruggero Passarini, the Bolognese "King of Filuzzi" (and best friend of Carlo and his family) during the "MEMORIAL CARLO VENTURI" evening, held at the Teatro Fanin in San Giovanni in Persiceto (BO) to mark the 25th anniversary of the Maestro's passing in December 1986.
All thirty pieces, performed live that evening by an equal number of talented accordionists, have been collected in a prestigious box set containing two audio CDs, two video DVDs, and a 32-page booklet with photographs and commentary of this unforgettable evening, during which many artists and friends of Carlo Venturi remembered and paid tribute to one of the greatest accordionists of all time.
That evening, all the songs were performed 100% live, accompanied by a high-quality orchestra consisting of Massimiliano Alberti (drums), Gianluca Frassineti (guitar), Pier Luigi Farini (electric bass), Massimo Tagliata (piano and keyboards), and Annibale Modoni (vibraphone and piano).
The show was filmed by the great Davide Legni, who also directed and edited the music videos.
Furthermore, the NOVALIS and UNIONE music publishing houses have remastered almost all of Maestro Carlo Venturi's recordings on 15 audio CDs, reprinted the scores, including the variations, in eight large A4-format albums (including the Maestro's biography), and created the MP3 and MIDI backing tracks for all the songs for which publishing rights were available.
