On Good Friday (April 14th) the SPC issued a slight risk with a 2% tornado risk for portions of the Texas panhandle. The Spring had been dominated by a dry atmosphere with little moisture to work with, and things were no different on this day. There had been a series of Slight Risks with 2% tornado risk days in the week or two leading up to this day that hadn't produced, but I decided to keep the grind going and headed out.
A massive supercell formed west of Dimmitt, TX and went on to produce a bunch of tornadoes and that supercell was captured by the newly utilized GOES-16 satellite resulting in some impressive satellite imagery. Ẩn bớt"
