Kaylia Nemour, born in France in 2006, is an Algerian gymnast who specializes in the uneven bars. In 2023, she won silver at the World Championships in Antwerp. At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, she made history by winning the gold medal on the uneven bars with 15.700 points. This was the first Olympic gold medal for Algeria in artistic gymnastics and the first for an African gymnast. Nemour, who previously competed for France, switched her sporting citizenship to Algeria due to differences with the French Gymnastics Federation.
