Explore the forest and its wildlife with ‘A Monster Surprise’
'A Monster Surprise' is a fantastic KS1 book.

Rabbit's flowers have been stolen. However, a clump of fur on the ground seems to give away the culprit.

Rabbit storms to Squirrel's house to accuse his friend of stealing from him, only to find that Squirrel has had some of his food taken too!

It transpires that more animals, such as Beaver and Boar, have food missing, so they set out to solve the mystery.

Their search leads them to a cave inhabited by a scary monster; will this be the end for the animals? Or has the monster got a surprise ready for them?

The book is great for sparking discussion about how we make friends, and children can debate whether the animals and monster were doing the right thing.

Featuring a diversity of wildlife, all stunningly illustrated, the story is good for supporting learning about different animals, their diets, and their habitats.
