Great example of professional jungle training. We began by setting up a place where the elephant can be comfortable by putting a round log where she simply steps over and rests her leg so she is more comfortable and more willing to allow us to take care of her foot. Elephant comfort is something many people forget about when working with elephants. If the elephant is comfortable you are more likely to succeed at the task at hand. Remember you're doing things for the elephant and not to the elephant.

While, we all don't speak each other's languages, we all knew the task at hand. We were able to take care of Pearls foot in a calm, positive way feeding her the entire time. I'm very proud of the team @evpcambodia to continually raise the bar for captive elephant welfare.
