Aria IV — The Waltz of Oscida and the King
This aria tells of the fateful night of the Spring Feast in Concordis.
At the height of the grand ball, Oscida enters in a magnificent ruby gown, a jewel glowing at her chest, its strange fragrance enchanting the hall. Every gaze turns to her.
King Zorian, as if spellbound, rises and crosses the floor toward her. Before the astonished court, he takes her hand, and together they begin to dance — a moment suspended in light and desire.
And in a distant corner, Queen Rohanna watches. In that single instant, her heart breaks.
