#bloodpressure #highbloodpressure #lowbloodpressure
In this video, Hansaji explains how high blood pressure is deeply connected to stress, shallow breathing, and constant nervous-system overload. You will learn a scientifically supported 7-minute yogic routine that helps calm the mind, relax the body, and support stable blood pressure — even if you have never practised yoga before.
• Why stress and shallow breathing raise blood pressure
• How slow breathing activates the body’s calming system
• The role of relaxation in heart and BP health
• A simple daily routine that fits into any schedule
7-Minute Blood Pressure Routine
1. Neck Rotations & Shoulder Rolls – 1 minute
• Slow, gentle neck movements
• Soft shoulder rolls to release upper-back tension
• Helps reduce nervous-system stress linked to BP rise
2. Yogendra Yastikasana + Diaphragmatic Breathing – 2 minutes
• Lie down comfortably in Yastikasana
• Practise slow abdominal breathing (Yogendra Pranayama IV)
• Calms the spine, improves heart-rate variability, and relaxes the mind
3. Anulom Vilom (No Breath Retention) – 2 minutes
• Gentle alternate-nostril breathing
• Keep the breath smooth and relaxed
• Helps stabilise BP by strengthening the body’s natural pressure-regulating mechanism
4. Bhramari Pranayama – 1 minute
• Soft humming sound while exhaling
• Option to practise with Yoni Mudra
• Soothes the vagus nerve and reduces stress instantly
5. Shavasana – 1 minute (or longer if possible)
• Lie down with feet slightly apart
• Allow complete physical and mental relaxation
• Supports heart rate and blood pressure settling
Lifestyle Support Tips
• Eat lightly salted, home-cooked meals and avoid packaged foods
• Walk regularly for at least 30 minutes in calm surroundings
• Keep regular meal and sleep timings; aim for 8 hours of rest
• Reduce overthinking, arguments, and unnecessary digital exposure
• Practise gratitude by writing 10 positive points daily
• Engage in hobbies like singing, gardening, or creative activities
Just seven minutes a day can gently shift your body out of constant tension and into balance. When the mind relaxes, the heart responds. When breathing slows, blood pressure follows.
