Here in Texas Lily and Ellie do the fun "hop" at 2:06 before the fiddle solo and then during it at 2:12 again. Ahhh .. the shows are so much fun to watch with little moments like this!

And Justin Maynard proves AGAIN that we need more fiddle (not more cowbell) in these bangers :) So, so talented - playing both fiddle AND mandolin on this number. His parts are the sweet secret sauce in many Castellows song arrangements IMHO.

The lyrics to Freeway really are a diary of The Castellows' first years touring and playing, like in Athens. Georgia at the 40 Watt. As they said in the intro back in Statesboro "This is our story". Sweet lyrics with the Birdie and Ellie Mustang references. As for Lily's line she still plays bass, I have not seen her play in person - I've heard her change those lyrics to "And I don't play bass anymore bud" at other shows, giving Mason Branch a nod and leaning into him. Here at 1:23 its "And I still play bass" - maybe we'll see that at a show some day :) Of course with Spencer Bradley on bass at the first shows I saw and then Mason playing bass, Lily doesn't need to play bass any more and can focus on putting on the high energy show like you see here. I do wonder who the new bass player will be?
