A Quiet Sanctuary in Stone: Inside Tneib House

Tneib House, designed by Abdel Qader Tarabieh Architecture in Amman, Jordan, is a 250-square-meter residence completed in 2025 that reinterprets local and Islamic architectural traditions through a contemporary lens. Defined by solid stone walls, a broad concrete canopy, and an inward-focused layout, the house creates a calm and protected living environment centered around a courtyard with preserved olive trees. Sliding glass openings blur the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing light, air, and nature to flow into the heart of the home. Through its use of local materials, restrained geometry, and carefully orchestrated spatial sequence, Tneib House offers a quiet balance between privacy, openness, and a deep connection to place and heritage.
