Every morning I head out for a harvest walk through the garden, picking what’s ripe and ready—and if I can preserve it that day, I do. In this video, I’m bringing you along as I harvest a big load of produce including broccoli, cucumbers, cabbage, zucchini, tomatoes, and more.

Back in the kitchen, I get to work preserving it all through canning, freezing, and freeze-drying—keeping it as fresh as possible and pantry-ready for the months ahead. This is one of my favorite rhythms of the season: grow it, pick it, and get it put away. Freshest is best.
