Europe's Most Fairytale-Like Christmas Market
While in Eastern Europe, we had to head up to Estonia and visit the Tallinn Christmas Market located in Town Hall Square in the heart of Tallinn’s medieval Old Town. This Christmas Market is very special as the tree in its centre was the first ever Christmas tree put up in Europe back in 1441.
The market itself has a great mix of arts and craft but also a lot of Christmas foods and drinks. We loved the sausage and cabbage plate that we started with and of course the pretzel sandwich, my personal favorite. This holiday market also had a few rides and carnival games something that we haven't seen much and other European Christmas markets.
The true highlight of this the Tallinn Christmas market in Estonia is its location in a real medieval town. From the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church to the different buildings dating from hundreds of years ago and of course their many medieval style restaurants and other attractions. This city is somewhere we would love to visit again and definitely a place not to miss while in the Baltic.
