In this episode we head back into Arizona and follow a winding wash down to Willow Beach within Lake Mead NRA. Here we'll set our kayak off and head upstream the Colorado towards the Hoover Dam, traveling past the sparkling Emerald Cove and stopping at a secluded beach for a lunch break and to stretch our legs.

Adventuresome kayakers can continue upstream several more miles to find different hot springs that are accessible from the river, and many hiking and camping opportunities within the canyon. Less adventuresome kayakers can book a tour with any number of local guides who will set you off just below the Hoover Dam, to paddle (or float!) entirely downstream.

On Sundays and Mondays the river above Willow Beach up to the Dam is closed to motorized boat traffic, making it a delightful paddle for kayaks canoes and SUPs! Head out early to beat the heat and come along with us to adventure Willow Beach 😎🚣‍♂️
