Around 300 people are dead in Indonesia after torrential rains and a cyclone, according to the country's disaster mitigation agency.

The agency added that the bad weather has made rescue operations difficult. While tens of thousands of people have been evacuated, hundreds are still stranded.

In Sri Lanka, officials say at least 153 people have been killed—and a third of the country is without electricity or running water.

The death toll in southern Thailand has risen to 162, according to a government spokesperson.

Malaysia saw a lower death toll but the country still sustained devastating damage, with tens of thousands of residents displaced.
