The story of human evolution is getting more and more convoluted, though, as a result of the amazing discoveries made in recent years. The complexity is growing, and the widely accepted narrative of a geographically well-defined "cradle of mankind" and a small founder population may prove to be an oversimplification, if not a new creation myth.
