🇨🇭Das Sernftal (auch Kleintal oder liebevoll „Chlytal“ genannt) ist ein wunderschönes Hochtal im Kanton Glarus in der Ostschweiz. Es ist ein Seitental des Linthtals und wird vom Sernf-Fluss durchflossen, der bei Schwanden in die Linth mündet. Seit der Gemeindezusammenlegung 2011 gehört das gesamte Tal zur Gemeinde Glarus Süd.

Das Sernftal ist bekannt für seine dramatische Alpenkulisse, traditionelle Dörfer, zahlreiche Wander- und Skimöglichkeiten und die einstige Sernftalbahn.

🇨🇭Sernftal, also known as Kleintal or affectionately called “Chlytal” by locals, is a picturesque alpine valley in the canton of Glarus, eastern Switzerland. It is a side valley of the Linth River, carved by the Sernf River (a right tributary of the Linth), and lies within the municipality of Glarus Süd. The valley is renowned for its stunning mountain scenery, traditional Swiss villages, outdoor recreation opportunities, and historical railway heritage. It offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by the Glarner Alps, with peaks rising over 3,000 meters, including the iconic Martinsloch (a natural rock window) and the Tschingelhörner range.
