Democratic strategist and former Harris campaign North Carolina political director Mally Smith, and Chet Love, Republican strategist and founding partner of the Cornerstone Group, joined a panel discussion with NTD's Jack Smith. The panel discussed the vote underway in the U.S. House of Representatives to end the historic 42-day government shutdown, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries's plan to force a vote on a three-year extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire at the end of this year, and President Donald Trump's defense of the H-1B visa program "to bring in talent."
