Trump Adviser: Impact of Shutdown Worse Than Expected

White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, a top economic adviser for President Trump, says the government shutdown is worse than expected.

Hassett said the travel and leisure sector is heavily hit by the shutdown. He warned that this has ripple effects, such as fewer business deals being made.

He said permits are also not being processed, and construction projects are starting to slow down.
