If you are not very aquainted with the sweet, you may at least have heard the song "Os Quindins de Iaiá". Quindim is a sweet somewhat pudding-like dessert. It descends from Portuguese cuisine but it was modified to be made with the ingredients available in Brazil. Quindim was probably created and named by the very first Afro-Brazilians. They called it "Quindim", which supposedly means my dear, or my charm. Children are sweet (most of the time) and when that was the case, my father often called me "Meu Quindinzinho" (my little quindim).
Quindins are extremely sweet and soft, so I advise you to use smaller molds. In the video I used 3 inch diameter molds. That said I probably should've used 2 inch diameter molds and baked them for 1 hour. These are best appreciated in small doses.
